Admiral gives boost to insurance sales jobs
Car insurance giant Admiral has predicted it will have recruited around 750 new staff by the end of June this year, some of which will be based in its sales department.
The insurer is creating the new sales jobs at its Cardiff base and has already recruited 490 people since January and plans to add to the 3,000 people it employs in Wales before the end of December.
Admiral Group people services manager Ceri Assiratti said: "The calibre of candidates coming through is very good, so much so that if we've reached capacity in one department, we'll invite those people back for an interview with another department that has openings."
A company spokesperson added that, because car insurance is compulsory, it has not been hit that hard by the recession, as people are forced to use their services.
Admiral's forward thinking recruitment could be mirrored by other companies in the coming months, according to Rob Scott, managing director of Aaron Wallis Sales Recruitment, who recently said strategic staffing is set to become a growing trend.
