Financial services job opportunities 'could increase in next 3 months'

New jobs are likely to be created in the financial services industry due to its strong growth rate during the last three months.

Figures published by the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) and PricewaterhouseCooper have shown that that the sector is expanding at its fastest rate since September 2007.

As a result of this growth there could be a rise in the number of financial services sales jobs being created, as the CBI's deputy director general, John Cridland, has stated that many firms are planning to bolster staff numbers.

He said that while the expansion has fallen short of expectations many firms are likely to step up their recruitment programmes in the next quarter.

Andrew Gray, PwC's UK financial services consulting leader, added: "Legislation and regulation is now seen by the banks as their largest limitation on business development and as a result, cross-selling to existing customers remains the focus for growth."

Earlier this week, City Women's Network president India Gary-Martin emphasised the importance of networking to female jobseekers looking to get access to the industry.

As a recruitment provider to many of the UK’s major banks, mortgage lenders and building societies Aaron Wallis have a deserved reputation within Financial Services recruitment. Their dedicated FS consultants recruit sales professionals across Retail Banking and Financial Services including IFA’s and Mortgage Broking.
